Navioneer Heroes

We noticed recently that the Navion community has a lot of younger members who have decided to join
the Navion owner ranks and wondered if many of them knew some of the older pilots of our airplanes
who were members of the “Greatest Generation” and flew in WW2.
About 40 years ago when we joined the group that was known as Southwest Navioneers, most of the
members were from Louisiana and Texas. Dick and I were from southeast Louisiana and Gen. Bob
Swanzy lived in Natchez. There were fellows from all over the south and west who regularly came to the
flyins.
